Our Story
A story of remembrance
The Queen Elizabeth II September 11th Garden was created to honour the 67 British and Commonwealth citizens who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Today, it is a living garden - a place to remember, gather, grow and celebrate the connections between Britain, the Commonwealth and New York.
Our mission
To develop and maintain a showplace garden reflecting the long history, shared friendship, common causes and sacrifices of the people of the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and the United States of America.
